Official Carcass Reek Of Putrefaction American Style Collectors Number Plate

Celebrate the groundbreaking debut of one of extreme metal’s most influential bands with this official Carcass Reek Of Putrefaction American-style collectors number plate. Featuring artwork inspired by the band's landmark first studio album, this premium display piece honours the uncompromising release that helped lay the foundations of grindcore and melodic death metal.

Formed in Liverpool, England in 1985 by guitarist Bill Steer, bassist and vocalist Jeff Walker, and drummer Ken Owen, Carcass emerged from the underground extreme metal scene with a sound unlike anything that had come before. Blending ferocious grindcore, death metal aggression, and medically inspired lyrical themes, the band became pioneers whose influence can be heard across death metal, grindcore, melodic death metal, and extreme music worldwide. Classic albums including Reek Of Putrefaction, Symphonies Of Sickness, Necroticism – Descanting The Insalubrious, Heartwork, Swansong, Surgical Steel, and Torn Arteries have secured Carcass a legendary status within heavy music.

Released through Earache Records in 1988, Reek Of Putrefaction introduced the world to Carcass’s chaotic blend of blistering speed, grotesque medical imagery, and raw production. Despite its notoriously murky sound, the album became a landmark underground release that influenced countless grindcore and death metal bands. Featuring tracks such as Genital Grinder, Regurgitation Of Giblets, Pyosisified (Rotten To The Gore), Vomited Anal Tract, and Fermenting Innards, the album remains an essential recording in the evolution of extreme metal.

Manufactured from durable 100% aluminium with a high-quality UK printed finish, this officially licensed American style number plate delivers vivid colour reproduction, crisp detail, and long-lasting durability. The rigid yet lightweight metal construction and authentic U.S. plate dimensions make it perfect for displaying in music rooms, rehearsal spaces, studios, garages, home bars, man caves, offices, or alongside a dedicated extreme metal memorabilia collection.

Measuring approximately 30.5cm x 15cm (12in x 6in), the plate features four pre-drilled mounting holes for quick and easy wall mounting or display. A must-have collectible for Carcass fans, grindcore enthusiasts, death metal collectors, and admirers of classic extreme metal artwork.
