After a six-year recording hiatus, Bay Area power-trio Castle return with Evil Remains, their sixth full-length and first release on Hammerheart Records. Recorded at RainCity Recorders in Vancouver with producer Jesse Gander, the album’s nine tracks fuse classic heavy-metal hooks with shadow-drenched doom, from the roaring opener “Queen of Death” to the brooding title cut.
