Final Gasp New Day Symptoms CD (Jewel Case, 2026, Relapse Records)

New Day Symptoms is the second studio album from Boston-based band Final Gasp, released through Relapse Records. The album expands the band's distinctive combination of death rock, post-punk, hardcore punk, and dark rock, pairing aggressive energy with atmospheric songwriting, dramatic vocals, and a haunting sense of tension.

Final Gasp blend jagged guitar work, driving drums, dark melodies, and Jake Murphy's intense vocal performance into a sound that feels both raw and atmospheric. Tracks such as "Look Away," "The Apparition," "Gifted Shame," and "New Day Symptoms" demonstrate the band's ability to move between forceful hardcore intensity, gothic atmosphere, and melodic passages.

For collectors and fans of death rock, post-punk, hardcore, and dark alternative metal, New Day Symptoms is a compelling addition to any CD collection. This 2026 release captures Final Gasp's expanding sound while retaining the urgent energy and gloomy character that define the band's music.
