Martyr Feeding The Abscess CD Reissue (Jewel Case, 2026, Relapse Record)

Martyr’s Feeding The Abscess is a landmark technical death metal album originally released in 2006 and now available as a fully remixed and remastered reissue through Relapse Records. Hailing from Quebec, Canada, Martyr delivers an intensely technical and progressive approach to extreme metal, combining precise musicianship, rapid-fire guitar work, complex arrangements, and a distinctive cybernetic edge.

As the band’s third full-length album and final studio release, Feeding The Abscess showcases Martyr at their most ambitious and technically accomplished. The 12-track album moves through intricate death metal riffing, lightning-fast shredding, highly precise rhythms, aggressive vocals, and progressive structures. Tracks such as “Perpetual Healing (Infinite Pain),” “Lost In Sanity,” “Feast Of Vermin,” “Silent Science,” and the four-part “Dead Horizon” sequence demonstrate the band’s ability to combine extreme technicality with memorable songwriting and constantly shifting arrangements.

The 2026 Relapse Records edition has been fully remixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio and remastered by Maor Applebaum, giving this influential Canadian technical death metal release a renewed and powerful presentation. With its combination of technical death metal, progressive metal complexity, extreme precision, and cybernetic atmosphere, Feeding The Abscess is an essential CD for fans of highly skilled musicianship and adventurous extreme metal.
