Composed and performed by Myrkur (Amalie Bruun), this release channels ancient myth through ritualistic soundscapes, Nordic folk traditions, and haunting cinematic atmosphere.

Written specifically to accompany the Royal Theater’s Ragnarok performances—including the celebrated encore shows at the Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus, Denmark—the soundtrack brings the mythological battle to life in a distinctly Myrkur fashion: austere, emotive, and deeply rooted in Scandinavian cultural heritage. Layered vocals, traditional instrumentation, and solemn rhythmic movements evoke both the grandeur and the fatalism of the Norse end-times.

Ragnarok was recorded at Medley Studios in Copenhagen by Søren Andersen, then mixed and mastered by Mikkel Haastrup, ensuring a pristine yet organic sonic presentation that balances intimacy with dramatic scale.
