Pegazus In Metal We Trust CD (Jewel Case, 2011, Black Leather Records)

New, factory-sealed and out-of-print CD edition of In Metal We Trust, the fifth studio album from Australian traditional heavy metal band Pegazus, released in 2011 through Black Leather Records. This original 2011 CD edition comes housed in a standard jewel case with its original hype sticker intact, making it a desirable addition to any collection of Australian heavy metal, traditional metal and European-style power metal. Featuring guest guitar solos from Ross the Boss, David Shankle and Jeff Watson, the album celebrates the enduring spirit of classic heavy metal.

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1993 by guitarist Johnny Stoj and drummer Robbie Stoj, Pegazus emerged as one of Australia's dedicated champions of traditional heavy metal. Drawing inspiration from the powerful guitar riffs, soaring vocals, twin-guitar melodies and anthemic songwriting associated with Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Manowar, the band developed a distinctive sound rooted in the classic metal traditions of the 1980s. Their international reputation grew through albums including Wings of Destiny (1997), Breaking the Chains (1999) and The Headless Horseman (2002), alongside European touring, appearances at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival and a recording relationship with Nuclear Blast Records.

Released in 2011, In Metal We Trust marked the band's return to the studio following an extended period between full-length albums. The record delivers a powerful combination of driving heavy metal rhythms, melodic guitar harmonies, commanding vocals and fist-raising choruses. Its traditional approach reflects Pegazus's commitment to the foundations of heavy metal while maintaining the energy and precision associated with modern power metal.

One of the album's distinguishing features is its impressive collection of guest guitar appearances. Ross the Boss, founding guitarist of Manowar and former member of punk rock pioneers The Dictators, contributes his unmistakable classic metal style. David Shankle, another former Manowar guitarist and founder of David Shankle Group, brings his technical guitar expertise, while Jeff Watson, renowned for his work with Night Ranger and Mother's Army, adds further melodic firepower. These contributions reinforce the album's connection to the wider history of traditional American and European heavy metal.

In Metal We Trust represents an important chapter in the Pegazus discography and the broader Australian traditional heavy metal scene. Its combination of classic metal songwriting, international guest musicians and independent-label release history makes it particularly appealing to collectors seeking authentic heavy metal recordings beyond mainstream catalogue titles.
