The Hu Hun CD (Digipak, 2026, Better Noise Music)

Hun is the 2026 third studio album from Mongolian folk metal band The HU, released through Better Noise Music on July 24, 2026. The album builds on the band's distinctive Hunnu Rock sound, combining traditional Mongolian throat singing, horsehead fiddle, jaw harp and ancient lute with powerful rock instrumentation and modern production. Across 11 tracks, The HU create a commanding sound that connects Mongolian musical heritage with contemporary folk metal, with Warrior Chant, The Men, Horsemen and The Real You showcasing the band's rhythmic intensity and distinctive vocal style.

The album expands the group's signature blend of traditional instrumentation and active rock influences while maintaining a strong connection to Mongolian language and culture. Echoes Of My Father and Universe offer more expansive arrangements, while Shadow and Greed bring a darker, driving energy. Lost Soul features guest vocals from Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More, adding a contrasting vocal style to the band's Mongolian sound. With its mix of powerful rhythms, layered vocal chants and traditional instruments, Hun continues The HU's distinctive approach to modern folk metal.

For fans of Mongolian folk metal, world music influences and powerful, rhythm-driven rock, Hun offers a distinctive listening experience that combines cultural tradition with contemporary heaviness. The 2026 Digipak CD is an appealing physical edition for The HU collectors and listeners who enjoy folk metal built around traditional instruments, throat singing, memorable melodies and a strong sense of identity.
