Exhumed Horror CD (Jewel Case, 2019, Relapse Records )

Exhumed’s Horror is a ferocious 2019 death metal release that delivers the California band’s signature blend of grinding riffs, blast-beat intensity, filthy vocals, and macabre atmosphere. Released through Relapse Records, the album continues Exhumed’s long-standing tradition of combining old-school death metal brutality with relentless grind and razor-sharp guitar work.

Across 15 intense tracks, Horror moves between neck-breaking death metal riffs, frantic blast beats, savage vocals, and blistering guitar solos. Songs such as “Ravenous Cadavers,” “Naked, Screaming and Covered in Blood,” and “Playing With Fear” highlight the band’s ability to combine speed, technical guitar work, and extreme aggression while maintaining the gruesome character that defines Exhumed’s gore metal sound.

With its relentless energy, crushing production, and unmistakably macabre songwriting, Horror is an excellent choice for fans of death metal, grindcore, gore metal, and extreme underground music. This CD is a strong addition to any Exhumed collection and an essential release for listeners who enjoy fast, brutal, riff-driven metal.
