Forbidden Forbidden CD (Jewel Case, 2026, BLKIIBLK Records )

Forbidden is the 2026 self-titled sixth studio album from legendary San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal band Forbidden, released through BLKIIBLK on October 23, 2026. Marking the band's first studio album since Omega Wave in 2010, this long-awaited release combines aggressive thrash metal riffs, intricate guitar work, forceful rhythms and progressive arrangements. Tracks such as Single Point Failure, Burning The Lungs Of Earth and Divided By Zero showcase the band's trademark precision and intensity while introducing a renewed sound shaped by the group's revitalised lineup.

The album features longtime members Craig Locicero on guitar and Matt Camacho on bass, joined by vocalist Norman Skinner, guitarist Jeremy Von Epp and former Machine Head drummer Chris Kontos. Produced with Zack Ohren, the record balances relentless thrash metal aggression with melodic passages, complex structures and thought-provoking themes. Sycophantasy features guest vocals from Brann Dailor of Mastodon, while The Burden includes a guest vocal appearance from Kayla Dixon. The closing track Flower Of Life expands into a lengthy, atmospheric finale that highlights the band's progressive ambitions.

For fans of Bay Area thrash metal, technical thrash and progressive heavy metal, Forbidden delivers a compelling blend of sharp riffing, intricate musicianship and renewed creative energy. The 2026 Jewel Case CD is a strong addition for longtime Forbidden fans and collectors of modern thrash metal, bringing together the band's classic aggressive foundation with a more expansive and progressive approach.
