Tony Iommi From The Dark CD (Digipak, 2026, BMG)

From The Dark is the 2026 solo album from legendary guitarist Tony Iommi, founding member of Black Sabbath and one of the most influential figures in heavy metal. Released through BMG on October 23, 2026, the album marks his first solo release in 21 years, following Fused in 2005. Across eight tracks, Iommi delivers a powerful blend of classic heavy metal, hard rock and contemporary production, driven by his unmistakable guitar riffs, expressive lead work and commanding musical arrangements. Songs such as World Alone, Black Times and Over The Violent Sun showcase the album's weight, melody and signature Iommi sound.

Created with longtime collaborator and producer Mike Exeter, From The Dark features Norwegian vocalist Jørn Lande, whose powerful delivery adds a dramatic dimension to Iommi's guitar-driven compositions. Tracks including Stormwatcher and Death Wake combine heavy riffs with expansive melodies and atmospheric passages, while Return Of The Arbalist and the epic closing track Legacy demonstrate the album's dynamic range. Queen guitarist Brian May also makes a guest appearance on Death Wake, adding another notable moment to this highly anticipated release.

For fans of classic heavy metal, hard rock and guitar-led music, From The Dark offers a compelling return from one of the genre's defining musicians. The 2026 standard CD edition is presented in a Digipak with a 12-page booklet, making it an appealing addition for Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath collectors, as well as listeners who appreciate powerful riffs, memorable melodies and accomplished guitar performances.
