Back on Fire is the debut solo album from Kreator and Sodom guitarist Frank Blackfire.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Frank Blackfire’s debut solo album Back on Fire, originally released in 2015, High Roller Records unleashes a newly remastered reissue featuring upgraded artwork and deluxe slipcase packaging.

A true titan of German thrash, Frank Blackfire helped define the sound of both Sodom and Kreator, contributing the riffs and intensity that shaped an entire era. After relocating to Brazil in the 2000s, he launched his band Mystic and recorded two demos that ultimately became the foundation of this long-awaited solo album.

Back on Fire delivers ten tracks packed with Blackfire’s unmistakable guitar tone, raw vocal attack, and razor-sharp songwriting. The album includes a thrashing take on Henry Mancini’s “Peter Gunn” theme as the intro, plus a standout guest appearance from Sodom frontman Tom Angelripper on “Insane Human Race,” and additional female vocals from Nancy Kunze on “Beautiful World.”

With killer cuts like “Victims of Society,” “Warmonger,” and “Valley of Suiciders,” this release stands as a potent, underrated gem of modern thrash - heavy, aggressive, and loaded with classic Blackfire riffwork.
