Walk the Shadows marks the sixth studio chapter from German epic doom metal visionaries Lord Vigo a band whose name and mythos is steeped in Ghostbusters lore (even their pseudonyms nod to Vigo von Homburg Deutschendorf from Ghostbusters II), horror, science fiction, fantasy, literature & movies .

Following the acclaimed albums “Danse De Noir” (2020) and “We Shall Overcome” (2022), this record breaks from the previous conceptual trilogy. As drummer/vocalist/keyboardist Vinz Clortho explains, “Walk The Shadows stands on its own… After two very elaborate concept albums, it was a welcome change for us.”

This album sees Lord Vigo explore deeper gothic textures, weaving influences reminiscent of Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, and The Cure into their classic epic doom foundation. Tracks like "Through A Glass Darkly," "Servant Of The Dark," and "The Triumph Of The Killing Heart" radiate brooding horror atmospheres and cinematic darkness.

Vinz continues: “The album combines many different styles and creates something entirely new… I don’t think there’s an album that sounds similar to ‘Walk The Shadows.’”

The first single, “Walk The Shadows,” arrives with a dedicated video, while the 12-minute “El Hakim” stands as the album’s longest and most atmospheric centerpiece - one of Vinz’s personal favourites. “Stylistically, the new album is a leap for us… Every Lord Vigo record sounds different. This time we’ve left our comfort zone. In some places I sing a whole octave lower than usual - that’s one of the reasons why the album sounds the way it does.”
