MindWars, formed by former Holy Terror guitarist Mike Alvord, return with their fifth studio album, V, now receiving its first international release via High Roller Records. Originally self-released in early 2024, V showcases the Los Angeles-based trio’s signature blend of classic thrash metal, razor-sharp riffs, and lyrical intensity.

The band features Mike Alvord on guitar, co-founder of the legendary Holy Terror, Italian drummer Roby Vitari, and bassist Rick Zaccaro. While the band’s name pays homage to Holy Terror’s 1988 album Mind Wars, MindWars represents a bold new chapter for Alvord. “I didn’t want anyone to think this was a continuation of Holy Terror,” he explains. “It’s an extension, with hints of Holy Terror, but very much its own project.”

Founded in 2013, MindWars quickly built a reputation for high-energy live performances, opening for Raven and Mordred, and appearing at international festivals including Long Live the Loud (US), Storm Crusher (Germany), and True Thrash (Japan).

With V, the band delivers a potent mix of classic thrash aggression, intricate guitar work, and melodic intensity, cementing their place in the modern thrash metal scene. MindWars are already working on new material and planning future tours, promising more crushing metal for fans worldwide.
