Nocturnal Racer is the debut EP from the American heavy/speed metal, hard-rocking combo Stainless. Special CD release contains two bonus tracks from thier Snakebite single!

Stainless formed in 2022 in Portland, Oregon, bringing together musicians from the city’s underground scene, including members of Black Breath, Long Knife, Living Dead, Halt, Bellicose Minds, Nightfell, Malikili, and Ripper. After debuting with their self-released 7" single "Snakebite"/"Too Hot To Steal," the band presented their mini-album Nocturnal Racer. The release features four tracks—"Nocturnal Racer," "Shot For Shot," "Believer," and "The Evil Lies"—recorded in 2023/24 at Red Lantern Studios by Larissa Cavacece (vocals), Mira Sonnleitner (bass), Joe Sugar (drums), and Jamie Byrum (guitar, vocals). Drummer Terrica Catwood (Time Rift) has since joined the lineup.

Stainless deliver a hard-edged blend of hard rock and heavy rock with clear metal undertones, driven by gritty riffs, high-energy rhythms, and Cavacece’s razor-sharp vocals - evoking icons like Leather Leone and Wendy O. Williams. With influences ranging from Chastain and Plasmatics to Amebix, Sacrilege, Bowie, and 70s rock, the band channels themes of speed, danger, decadence, and pure rock ’n’ roll attitude.

Nocturnal Racer marks the band’s strongest statement yet, and with a full-length album already in the works, Stainless are only just getting started.
