Convulse Reflections Reissue CD (Jewel Case, 2026, Relapse Records)

Reflections is the second full-length album release from Finnish death metal pioneers Convulse, originally released in 1994 and presented here as a CD jewel case reissue. The album showcases the band's distinctive evolution from raw old-school death metal toward a more melodic, atmospheric, and progressive direction, combining heavy guitar riffs, forceful drumming, harsh vocals, and darker melodic passages.

Convulse balance crushing death metal intensity with memorable guitar work and atmospheric songwriting, giving Reflections a distinctive character within the early Finnish extreme metal scene. The album's combination of aggressive instrumentation, melodic elements, and progressive touches makes it an important release for listeners exploring the development of Scandinavian death metal.

For collectors and fans of Finnish death metal, this reissue is a strong addition to any extreme metal collection. Reflections offers a compelling listen for anyone interested in old-school death metal, melodic extreme metal, and the influential sound of the early Finnish underground.
