Formed in 2021, Phantom quickly carved out a reputation in the Mexican underground through three demos and a split LP, culminating in their ambitious DIY debut. Vocalist/guitarist JC recalls the chaotic origins: “We knew nothing about recording- we learned as we went. Harel, our other guitarist, broke his arm, so I had to record the entire album myself while we also changed drummers. It was difficult, but we made it happen.”

Despite its rough production, Handed to Execution became a global cult favourite, earning the band a loyal following far beyond their local scene. Now, with High Roller Records presenting this definitive reissue, the limitations of earlier pressings - “pretty chaotic,” as JC puts it - are gone for good.

Every razor-sharp riff, every neck-snapping tempo shift, and every thunderous drum strike has been rebuilt for maximum sonic impact. This is the true form of Phantom’s debut - ferocious, relentless, and essential for any speed or thrash metal collection.
