Moving Target is the third album from the Australian power metal band Dragonsclaw

After a record-breaking twelve-year wait, Dragonsclaw return with their long-awaited third album, Moving Target, released by High Roller Records. Led by singer Giles Lavery (Warlord, Alcatrazz, Jack Starr), the album also features Australian bandmates Ben Thomas (guitar) and Aaron Thomas (bass), alongside Warlord members Mark Zonder (drums) and Jimmy Waldo (keyboards).

Moving Target channels the spirit of 1980s classic metal, described by Lavery as “Judas Priest between Defenders of the Faith and Turbo, with a touch of Fifth Angel’s second album.” Keyboards play a crucial role, adding atmosphere and drama reminiscent of Virgin Steele, Tony Banks (Genesis), and Tony Carey (Planet P Project).

Highlight tracks include the fast-paced Shadowfire, featuring a surprise duet with Riot V’s Todd Michael Hall. With Lavery’s vocals blending the tones of Michael Kiske, Geoff Tate, and Ronnie James Dio, Moving Target delivers an energetic, dramatic, and melodic heavy metal experience that’s poised to become a modern classic.
