Nightmare Theatre is the debut and only album from the American cult speed metal project Exorcist, originally released in 1986. High Roller Records presents this deluxe double CD edition, featuring three different versions of the album, bonus tracks, and a collectible slipcase - perfect for serious collectors and fans of underground American metal.

Recorded under pseudonyms as part of Cobra Records’ “masked band” concept, with the two Piledriver releases Stay Ugly and Metal Inquisition being the other similar themed projects, Exorcist’s Nightmare Theatre brought together the talents of David DeFeis and Edward Pursino of Virgin Steele, with contributions from Virgin Steele bassist Joe O’Reilly and drummer Mark Edwards. This lineup also created the sole Original Sin album, featuring Danae DeFeis on vocals.

Contrary to common rumours, Exorcist had no connection to the Virgin Steele naming dispute, which had been resolved prior to this recording. No second Exorcist album exists - making Nightmare Theatre a unique, one-time project and a rare collector’s item in American speed metal history.

This release captures a pivotal moment in underground 1980s metal, combining high-octane riffs, fast-paced drumming, and the signature power-metal stylings of David DeFeis. High Roller Records’ remastered edition ensures premium sound quality, making this double-disc collection the definitive version for fans and collectors alike.
