Phantom strikes back with Tyrants of Wrath, their second full-length album and the most ferocious chapter yet in the rise of Mexico’s new speed/thrash elite. Formed in 2021 in Guadalajara, the band quickly built a cult following through three demos, a split release, their breakout debut Handed to Execution, and the follow-up EP Transylvanian Nightmare. Now, Phantom pushes their sound into even more aggressive, adventurous territory.

Tyrants of Wrath is a whirlwind celebration of classic speed and thrash metal, channelling the spirit of Razor, Dark Angel, Merciless, Living Death, and early Slayer, while adding the band’s own sinister bite. Tracks like “Nimbus” nod to the epic heavy metal legacies of Manilla Road, Gotham City, and Heavy Load, while songs like “Nazguhl” dive into unexpected structural twists without sacrificing intensity.

Recorded and mixed by Phantom together with Héctor Northen at Nehtron Studios (Mexico) and mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony (Germany), the album delivers razor-sharp clarity, punishing impact, and relentless speed from start to finish.
