Rogue Angels is the second full-length studio album from the Canadian New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal band Starlight Ritual.

Starlight Ritual was formed in 2013 in Montreal, Quebec by guitarists JF Bertrand and Dan Toupin, originally conceived as a doom- and psychedelic-leaning project. The band’s early material featured long-form instrumental compositions, some of which appeared on their self-titled debut release in 2015, a near 40-minute EP that laid the groundwork for their evolving sound. With the addition of vocalist Damien Ritual in 2014, Starlight Ritual began to sharpen their identity, releasing the EP Age Of The Universe before fully crystallising their direction on their first official album Sealed In Starlight in 2021.

Rogue Angels marks Starlight Ritual’s first release on High Roller Records and represents the band at their most focused and confident. On this album, Damien Ritual not only delivers commanding vocals but also handles bass duties, further tightening the band’s sound. Moving away from their early psychedelic roots, Starlight Ritual now fully embrace traditional heavy metal with an epic edge, drawing clear influence from Manowar, Running Wild, Thin Lizzy, and Rainbow. The result is powerful, melodic heavy metal driven by strong riffs, heroic choruses, and classic songwriting values.

Described by the band as “lively, deadly, and right on target,” Rogue Angels balances high-energy metal anthems with epic atmosphere.
