Phantom Hellspeed Death Demo CD (Jewel Case, 2026, High Roller Records)

High Roller Records official 2026 reissue of Phantom’s Hellspeed Death demo, originally released in 2022. This limited to 500 copies one-time edition is presented in a CD jewel case format and includes two bonus tracks. The entire release has been remastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in January 2026.

Phantom are a Mexican speed/thrash metal band known for their raw, aggressive and uncompromising approach to old-school heavy metal. Hellspeed Death captures the band at an early and particularly ferocious stage, combining primitive demo energy with razor-sharp riffing, rapid-fire drumming, harsh vocals and an unmistakable underground attitude.

Drawing heavily from the classic extreme metal tradition, Phantom channel the speed and aggression of early Slayer, Venom, Tank, Motörhead and Voivod while developing a distinctive identity of their own. Tracks such as Payback, Reaper's Bane and Death Crusade race forward with galloping riffs, punk-infused thrash energy and relentless momentum, while Onslaught and Speedhammer push further into blackened, high-velocity territory.

The songwriting is direct, aggressive and built for maximum impact, with themes of war, revenge, horror and darkness reflecting the hostile atmosphere of the music. Rather than sounding polished or overly refined, Hellspeed Death retains the raw character that makes classic metal demos so compelling to collectors and underground fans.

The demo also provides an important snapshot of Phantom’s development before their debut full-length Handed To Execution, released in 2023. The band’s early DIY approach, relentless energy and commitment to old-school speed and thrash metal established the foundation for the material that followed.

This High Roller Records edition gives collectors the opportunity to own an officially released and remastered version of an early Phantom recording, now expanded with two bonus tracks.
